Tara let me take some belly shots this past weekend.  AND....she's letting me share a few with all of you.
(She told me the only rule was that I couldn't use the words "fat" or "huge")

Frustrating

Sometimes it easy to forget our little family isn't "run of the mill."  We are very lucky to have the family and friends we do...they make our world as close to perfect as one can get.  I rarely have a day where I feel "different" than any other married, expectant parent. 

And then I show up to work and this little gem is sitting in my inbox.

"Becca, based on the definition of the FMLA law, you are not eligible to take FMLA for this situation.  I have spoken with our (company) attorney who has confirmed my decision on this matter.  Your supervisor is able to give you some vacation time and per my past conversations with her she is willing to do so.  Please communicate with her to work out the amount of vacation time you would like to take for this event.

No...thank you. 

I understand they are tied by the law...but it is disappointing.

Sneak Peek

We are close to finishing the nursery...  It just needs a few things here and there.
 It actually ended up being quite the challenge due to several factors: 
1.  The room is HUGE. 
2.  We are not Rich. 
3.  We are very picky.  
4.  We tried to keep it gender neutral.

Overall we are pretty pleased...I hope the kiddos like it :)

ultrasound and doctor visit today!

I am 31 weeks today and had another ultrasound!  Becca & Martha were able to go so Martha got a little taste of what it is like.  Of course they are bigger now so it is harder to see stuff on the ultrasound AND the boy would not cooperate and turn around so we could see his face.  So, we didn't get any good 4D pics today but everything went really well.  Calvin is measuring big still at 4 lbs 9 oz and 33 weeks/5 days.  Carley Sloan is right on track at 4 lbs 0 oz and 31 weeks 2 days.  They are doing great and so am I!  The doctor would like me to make it to 36-37 weeks to get the most lung development possible so I have to take it easy to avoid going into labor too soon.  Right now the boy is in the breech position and most likely will not turn so it looks like a c-section.  The sweet thing is that they are positioned head to head and are probably best friends by now:)

baby shower #2

Our friends Amanda, Eve and Katy gave us wonderful "Big Top" themed shower.  The AusTwins Family Circus was the concept.  It was so wonderfully decorated and the food was the best part!  Yum!  Corn dog nuggets, popcorn, circus peanuts, regular peanuts, cake, veggies, m&ms, fruit, animal crackers and punch.  Needless to say I ate a lot:)  We got some amazing gifts and were truly touched by special gifts from our out of town "extended family".

the third trimester has begun!

I am 28 weeks today!!  I am hoping to make it to December 31 or later.  I feel great and there are no issues so let's keep our fingers crossed!
