So I (becca) was reading up on "What to expect in week 12" on the website pregnancyhut.com and came across this statement:

"Freckles and spots can darken further making the face rather unattractive in some women."

Seriously???  Does this website not realize their target audience? 
Does this website not realize the hormone levels of their particular target audience at this particular time????

I mean they didn't even try to be nice about it.

The author of pregnancyhut.com obviously does not have a 12 week pregnant woman living with them that cries during those commercials for the olympics easily.

Poor Tara...I guess we better keep an eye on your freckles and spots.  Hopefully you won't fall into the same category as "some women."

we made it!!

The first trimester is over!  I am 12 weeks today!  I go back to the doctor August 4th but found this picture on the Internet of what the babies should look like this week.

doctor visit

we don't have pictures or videos this time but we had our first visit with our regular doctor (we don't have to go to Arkansas Fertility anymore).  I am going to Heather Owens with UAMS and she is awesome.  everyone was great and i really like the clinic.  Dr. Owens is in becca's unit a lot so they know each other.  that really helps a lot!  anyway, they are growing perfectly and had great heart beats.  and..they are moving now!  it was the coolest thing ever!  one of them was crazy and wiggly and the other was laid back and moved just a little.  Becca says the wiggly one takes after me and the laid back one takes after her:)  it was so amazing and I am feeling more pregnant and feel like it is more real now!  we go back in 3 weeks (twins get to see her every 2-3 weeks instead of just once a month).  we will keep you posted and hopefully the next ultrasound we will have pics or video! 

Little Baby B (B is for bean-head)

Sweet sweet little.  Baby B you are just a few millimeters shy of your brother/sister.  You are measuring 1.79 centimeters ( "age" = 8 weeks 3 days) and your heart is galloping away at 154 beats per minute.  It was harder to see you on the ultrasound because your bigger sibling was trying to squish you out of the way.  (Perhaps a sign of things to come :) ) You are just perfect though and I have never loved a little bean so much.

Sweet Baby A

I guess it is because you are so small, but it is all but impossible to think about you and not think about your little brother or sister at the same time.  I know you are two totally different little people though and I thought it might be nice to give you two different postings on the blog.  So...

Sweet Baby A- you are Mr. Big right now. (or Ms!)  You are measuring 2.03 cm, which puts your "age" at 8 weeks and 6 days.  You're heart is beating at about 152 beats per minute, which is right on track. 

Just so everyone can experience the amazing little flutter we got to see this morning...this is your second home video:  (in the first one, which we do not have, you were a mere ball of cells)

2nd ultrasound!!

They are good sizes: 2.03 cm & 1.79 cm and have great heartbeats: 152 & 154.  only about 8 or 9 more weeks and we can find out what they are :)

We are having twins!  Due February 4th but they usually come early.  How exciting!!!
