Soccer Mom Shower

The moms of the girls I (Becca) played soccer with all through junior high and high school got together to throw Tara and I a shower this weekend.  It was Wonderful!  Not only did we get to catch up with everybody, but there was good food and lots of diapers!!!  I have never seen so many diapers and wipes in my life :)

over 1400 wipes.  (that's a lot of wiping!)

We also got lots of wonderful clothes, rattles, pacifiers, monitors, and other essential baby accoutrement.

The scene:  Katy, Tara, and I were driving to Barnes & Noble last night and Tara almost missed a turn.  The conversation that followed went something like this...

Becca:  So in this class I'm going to be taking I ------

Katy:  Hold up one second!  Tara do you need to get over? 

Tara:  Oh! Yea...oops.  Thanks...My brain just wasn't focusing.

Becca (smiling):  That's okay...You're pregnant.

Tara:  Yea, The book says that during the 4th month you might start to feel scattered, be forgetful, clumsy, stuff like that.

Katy:  Oh so like when you "threw" that bowl into the cabinet after dinner and it crashed onto the floor?

Everybody: hahahahahahahaha

Tara (and this was said just as honest as honest can be):  Ha Ha, very funny.  Yea, I was reading about all of that in the book earlier tonight when you were in the other room, and it was so true it made me laugh out loud!  I was going to come tell you but I forgot.

Becca and Katy:  ..........

Becca:  Seriously?
