Hey guys! I wanted to tell you all in person but that was looking like it may not happen. Everyone is busy and I didn't want you to hear it from someone else....
I'M PREGNANT!!!!
Finally! We have been trying for almost 2 years and this last time we did InVitro fertilization....and it worked!! It is still very early, I am only 5 weeks today so keep us in your thoughts! they transfered 2 embryos so June 16 we find out if there are one or two babies!!! I will keep everyone posted! you can also keep up to date by checking our website.
The doc has prescribed 48 hours of modified bedrest for T-bone...which for those of you that know her...has been a little difficult. Family and friends have been awesome. Leigh hooked us up with an Awesome casserole for dinner last night and my friend from work, Jeni, brought us a feast of chicken salad, bean dip, and banana pudding. Katy came by last night and hung out with Tara while I was at rugby practice-I know she enjoyed having the company. We have been loading Tara up with foods that are suppose to help with embryo implantation: Pineapple and Goji berries (or wolf berries). I know you all know what pineapple is (the core is the important part to eat when trying to concieve!). Goji berries are not so common though and they were highly recommended by the acupuncturist Tara has been going to see. (The acupuncturist is a whole other story I will have to let Tara tell :) )
Core included!
Dried Goji berries...kind of raisin-y flavored. kind of.
Aaaaahhhhh...the much preferred alternative to the dried goji berries. Chocolate covered goji berries.
T-bone getting some R & R, eatin' pineapple.
Today at exactly 2:22 pm we transferred 2 little embryos into Tara's uterus. The embryologist said they looked "perfect" (of course they did). We got to see a short video of them which was nothing short of amazing. They were at the blastocyst stage which looks like this:
We are super excited and hopefully in a few weeks we will have some good news to share with everybody. As most of you know this has been a very long road for us...
